The District of Columbia celebrated the opening of the Triumph, the brand new short-term housing facility in Ward 8 that will serve 50 families experiencing homelessness. The Triumph, named by the community, is a part of an impetus by the Mayor and the DC Council to provide community-based, short-term family housing in every ward. The facility is seeking LEED Gold Certification.
