What You Can Expect From Our Hiring Process

At MCN, we believe in a transparent and inclusive recruitment process that gives every candidate a fair opportunity to showcase their skills and fit for the role. Here’s what you can expect when applying to join our team:

1. Job Posting & Application Review

Posting & Preparation: We start by carefully crafting a job description that outlines the specific skills and experience we’re seeking for the role. Each posting reflects the current needs of our company and the qualities we value in potential team members.

Rolling Resume Review: As resumes are received, our HR team reviews them on a rolling basis. Candidates are evaluated against the predetermined criteria outlined in the job description, ensuring that every application is considered equally, regardless of age, gender, race, or background.

2. Initial Interview

HR Interview: If your resume aligns with our needs, you may be contacted for an initial interview with our HR team. This interview focuses on your overall fit with the company, including personality-based questions. Depending on the role, this step might be skipped.

3. Team Interviews

Role-Specific Interviews: The next step typically involves an interview with the hiring manager or team. For positions such as Project Management, Preconstruction, or Field Operations, this will be a panel interview with senior team members. Office or independent roles usually involve a one-on-one interview with the hiring manager. These interviews typically focus on more technical questions.

4. Final Interview

Owner Interview: If you successfully pass the previous stages, you will be invited to a final in-person interview with our owner. This is a critical step where we assess not just your skills and experience, but also your alignment with our company’s vision and culture.

5. Decision & Communication

Offer or Feedback: If you are selected for the role, you will receive a comprehensive offer, including details about compensation and our benefits package. We strive to conduct interviews as close together as possible to keep the process efficient. If you are not selected, we ensure that every candidate receives an email with our decision, and whenever possible, we provide specific feedback to help you in future job searches.

6. Onboarding

Getting Started: Once you accept our offer, we will outline what to expect on your first day and provide you with all the information you need to be set up for success at MCN.
